Do you want to place new fixed anchors in Lofoten? Read this

Lofoten offers world-class mountain climbing, bouldering, and alpine peaks. Most of this is described in the climbing guides Lofoten Climbs and Bouldering in Lofoten (available for purchase at the Climbing Café in Henningsvær, Skandinavisk Høyfjellsutstyr in Svolvær, or at vpg.no). Lofoten Climbs is also available as a mobile app. The online/mobile guide 27crags.com is also an excellent source for routes and bouldering.

There are also several good sport climbing areas in Lofoten, described in Lofoten Climbs: Eggum, Sandvika, Finnvika, Urdstabben, and Juniorveggen. In 2020, two new crags were added, in Stamsund (see 27crags.com) and Skårungen on Ørsvågvær. Skårungen is very child-friendly, with easy access and the possibility of setting up top ropes on relatively easy routes. A guide will be available soon.

A beginner-friendly climbing area has also been developed at Børvågen. Check 27crags.com for a guide to Gullvika on Storemolla, where you’ll find some of the finest crack climbing routes in Lofoten!
